LINEN: CHARACTERISTICS AND CARE
Linen is the oldest known textile fiber and one, or the most, suitable for the care of our skin. It does not cause allergies, protects from ultraviolet rays and is thermoregulable, which makes it perfectly adapted to the climate. It is also antibacterial and fungicidal, preventing the proliferation of bacteria. Highly recommended for sensitive skin.
Regarding its cultivation, the flax plant grows naturally, sustainably, without the need for fertilizers. It does not generate waste and is grown practically without the need for irrigation, so its impact on the ecosystem is minimal. However, its cultivation is very expensive and that is why it has become a highly desired and valued fabric in the world of fashion and at home.
Therefore, if we want to ensure the durability of our RO: F linen garment, we must give it the care it needs. We recommend washing in cold water (always), without twisting (never), not letting it soak for a long time and laying it well stretched without tweezers so that they do not mark. You can use a very short cycle washing machine and hang it out as soon as you finish. The ideal time to iron it is when it is still damp, at medium temperature and gently stretching the seams with your hand. Remember that the wrinkle of linen reinforces its natural appearance! There is no more beautiful wrinkle than that of a linen garment.
